Established in 2024 from funds bequeathed to the University by Professor John Steele, a former long serving member of the Music Department known for his world-renowned research on early Western art music, this scholarship provides financial support to students to study undergraduate music at the University of Otago | 艑t膩kou Whakaihu Waka.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holders, Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents with domestic fee status, or international students who have completed Year 12 and/or have completed or are in the process of completing Year 13 at a New Zealand school, or an equivalent foundation level course at a New Zealand tertiary institution. Applicants must also be enrolled into the Bachelor of Music programme.
