The Robert James Jenkins Memorial Scholarship in Medicine was established in 2003 with funds bequeathed through the Robert James Jenkins Memorial Trust. This award assists fifth and sixth year medical students experiencing financial hardship with their academic progress at the University of Otago.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holder, enrolled for the fifth or sixth year of the course leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago, and experiencing financial hardship that makes it difficult to continue at University.
