This qualification is intended for those who wish to contribute to M膩ori educational organisations and other organisations in leadership roles with a strong kaupapa based teaching philosophy. They will be able to combine advanced research skills and knowledge to assist in high level strategic planning that contributes to the long-term educational prospects of wh膩nau, hap奴 and iwi.
The purpose of the Pout膩h奴 Whakaakoranga is to provide wh膩nau, hap奴, iwi and other organisations with graduates who are able to work collaboratively and assist in the management and administration of hap奴 and iwi short and long-term educational aspirations.
Graduates will be able work in leadership roles to assist in planning, organising and leading educational organisations in order to advance the long-term educational propsects of wh膩nau, hap奴 and iwi.
As a graduate you will be ready to enter year two of the masters programme, T膩huhu Whakaakoranga.

Entry requirements

For applicants 20 years and over.聽
- An undergraduate teaching degree or diploma; five or more years classroom teaching experience; a high level of fluency in te reo M膩ori, both oral and written, as the course is total immersion聽
- evidence of support from a hap奴 and iwi to be provided
- Regular internet access, email address and computer, laptop, tablet or other suitable mobile device is required.聽

Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa is a tikanga M膩ori tertiary education provider with its main campus based in 艑taki, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Hailed at the time as the 'smallest university in the world' Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa was established by the Raukawa Marae Trustees in 1981 with only two students.
A special and unique place of learning, Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa has become recognised over the last 30 years as an opportunity for all to learn within a tikanga M膩ori community under the principles of the iwi development strategy, Whakatupuranga Rua Mano: Generation 2000.
Whakatupuranga Rua Mano captured the health and wellbeing aspirations of the ART Confederation of Ng膩ti Toa Rangatira, Te Ati Awa ki Whakarongotai and Ng膩ti Raukawa ki te tonga in the lower North Island of Aotearoa.聽These are the founding iwi of Te 奥腻苍补苍驳补 o Raukawa.
