Are you currently working in a professional kitchen and ready to take the next step in your culinary career? The Diploma in Cookery (Advanced) (Level 5) is a managed traineeship that gives you the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while continuing to work in industry.This programme is designed for chefs already employed in restaurants, hotels, catering, or commercial kitchens who want to develop advanced cookery techniques, leadership skills, and the ability to design and cost menus to a professional standard. Through a combination of structured workplace training and academic support, you will grow your expertise while earning and learning on the job.To support your learning journey, you will attend:Five three-day workshops throughout the yearWeekly check-in sessions during the academic semester to review progress and prepare for upcoming learningA range of bespoke one-day masterclasses focused on specialised or advanced techniquesThese sessions provide targeted support in areas not always available in the workplace, such as patisserie, charcuterie, and creative presentation, and ensure you are well-prepared for each stage of the programme.
